A New London man is facing multiple charges after police said he drove drunk, parked in a travel lane on Interstate 95, and caused a crash that seriously endangered his passenger.
Julio Osario Santos, 51, was charged with operating under the influence, unsafe parking on a highway, operating with a suspended license, reckless use of a highway by a pedestrian, and other motor vehicle offenses, according to Connecticut State Police.

A New Jersey corrections officer has died following a motorcycle crash, according to the New Jersey State Policemen's Benevolent Association Local 105.
Senior Corrections Police Officer Aaron A. Elly, 29, of Cinnaminson, died after the crash, the union announced. Details of the crash were not immediately available. Elly's obituary says only that he died on May 31.
